Omandams in the United States

What I know So Far

The earliest documentations of an Omandam living in the United States comes from U.S. Social Security Administration records.

The SSA’s Death Index contains a listing of everyone who had a Social Security Number and whose death was reported to SSA. This index lists six Omandams, who at some point lived and worked in the U.S. long enough to earn Social Security benefits.

Their birthdates suggest they are either brothers or cousins. If you are a descendant of one of these names below, drop us a line and help us fill in the missing information about the Omandams in the U.S.

  • Anastacio Atig Omandam, born 1890, died 1966 (owner of steamer trunk at Smithsonian)
  • Esteban Omandam, born 1890, died 1964
  • Crescencio Omandam, born 1894, died 1981
  • Hermogene Pacho Omandam, born 1900, died 1973 (my grandfather)
  • Jesus Omandam, born 1901, died 1970
  • Ambrosia Omandam, born 1910, died 1993

My father, Paquito Cabigon Omandam, Sr. - late 1950s, Oahu, Hawaii
