Welcome to Omandam.com

Welcome to my personal musings and insights about the extended Omandam family. These observations come from a left-handed, marathon-running, married father of two and Navy veteran who has made a living writing content. As part of the creative collaborative at Omandam Media Group, I invite you to explore my site, which is currently under construction.

Omandams at The Smithsonian

This is a very exciting and proud time to be an Omandam. The American History Museum will be hosting a groundbreaking exhibition starting Dec. 23, 2025, about Filipino-Americans who migrated to the U.S. and settled in Stockton, Calif. from the 1920s to the 1970s. This exhibition, part of a creative collaborative effort, marks the first-ever showcase of its kind. Among those featured is the steamer trunk of Anastacio Omandam, who we believe was a cousin of Hermogenes P. Omandam, my grandfather (right in white shirt). As we prepare for this significant event, the Omandam Media Group is excited to share updates as the exhibition plans are under construction. Use this link to learn more: Smithsonian Exhibition.

Are You An Omandam?

My Omandam lineage traces back to the Visayan region of The Philippines. If you are an Omandam, I invite you to join our creative collaborative efforts at Geni.com to build your family tree and see if we can eventually connect the branches. Additionally, please visit this page to learn more about the Omandam Media Group and the Omandams who migrated to the U.S., as this section is currently under construction.
